Engraving Department Duties
	No previous experience is required for this position, training is provided. After interpreting the written order, you will be required to cut engraving plastic to size from 24" X 48" sheets. Then the job details are entered into the computer by keyboard and, if needed, a proof is printed for customer approval. The sized plastic pieces are place on the engraver and the machine cuts the text and/or logo into the plastic. The signs are then spray painted and finished. The same machines are also used to design and engrave metal plates for awards, gifts, etc. The sheets of metal are cut to size with a hand shear and then engraved. Lifting and handling of sheets of plastic up to five pounds is required and lifting and moving of boxes of plastic up to 30 pounds may be required. Maintenance of the engraving machines, including disassembling, cleaning and re-assembling may be required. Miscellaneous Duties: All employees share in these duties.
	Finally, at times, you may be called upon to perform duties outside your "official job description" such as cleaning, (vacuuming, cleaning your gender bathroom, mopping, dusting, etc.), folding, counting and boxing shirts, laminating, cutting with an x-acto knife and safety straight edge, and other duties of a similar nature. These are duties shared by all employees.
